How to "LIKE" a page

Social networks are a wonderful thing. They help us stay in contact with family and friends that may be far away. You can share your photos and your stories.Facebook is one the most popular. It can be very confusing if you don't know what you are doing. It doesn't come with instructions. There is the Help section but I was using it for over a year before I found that. So it is all trial and error. I still don't know what the "poke" is used for, other than to be really annoying! I have noticed that there are some people that are having the same difficulties that I encountered when I first started. I decided to try to help by explaining some of the things you can do.
I am going to start with how to "like" a page. We have all seen the posts from people asking that you "like" a page and share it. I have noticed a lot of people will like the post think that is what is being asked of them. But they don't go to the specific page and "Like" it. So I will show you how this is done.

First, you will see a post something like this:

Now there are two ways to do this. You can click on the actual link:

Or you can click on the Title of the page:

Just place your cursor over the part you want to click on and left click it. It will take you to the page. The page will look like this:

As you can see, I have already "LIKED" this page.

Here is a page I have yet to "Like" so you can see the difference

Just click on the "Like" button and it will show a check mark and say "Liked"

Some people may not want all the updates from a page they have "Liked" to show up in their news feed. You can fix that by placing your cursor over the like button and a drop down menu will show. Click on "show on news feed" to uncheck it.

And that is how to "Like" a page on Facebook.
